Calling it the “BEST NIGHT EVER,” Kelly Clarkson couldn’t contain her enthusiasm after performing with Pistol Annies.
“It was an amazing night for Sony here in Nashville!! We rocked the boat!!” she tweeted.
Kelly’s not resorting to hyperbole either -- she’s referring to her label’s annual show aboard the General Jackson riverboat during Country Radio Seminar.
Pistol Annies backed Kelly on a new song called “Ain’t Gonna Like This,” according to Country Aircheck. The tune namechecks Trisha Yearwood and Kelly’s future stepmother-in-law Reba.
Earlier, Miranda Lambert opened the superstar performance with her new single “Mama’s Broken Heart,” before Blake Shelton joined her for an acoustic version of “Over You.” Then, Pistol Annies took the stage to prove they’re “Hell on Heels” and debut their tune “Hush Hush.”
Kelly later tweeted a backstage photo with Pistol Annies, with all four dressed entirely in black, save for Kelly’s quirky “D.A.R.E. to Keep Your Kids Off Drugs” shirt.
