A men's basketball league will begin August 7, 2010 at the South Beach Community Center, 500 Old Florida Trail in Melbourne Beach. There will be one division of play for men ages 40 and up. Brevard County Animal Serves is seeking volunteers to walk dogs at the Titusville and Melbourne shelters. Volunteers will provide daily exercise, affection and socialization for the dogs. Brevard County Parks and Rec. will begin hosting the "Prime Timers" program  at the Wickham Senior Center, 2785 Leisure Way inside Wickham Park. The Space Coast Chapter of the Compassionate Friends (a self-help organization who have all experienced the tragic loss of a child), is meeting twice monthly at two locations on the Space Coast.
