Zach Bryan has removed the track “Memphis; The Blues” from streaming versions of his latest album, The Great American Bar Scene, after collaborator John Moreland mocked Bryan’s recent $350 recording and publishing deal on social media. Moreland took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 7), sharing a photo of the tattooed back of his head along with the caption, “$350M is a lot of money to pay for the fu**in off-brand version of me.” Bryan responded with an Instagram Story post of his own, with a screenshot of Moreland’s dig along with this caption: “Yooo just saw this from an artist I’ve always respected and supported. Not trying to be dramatic but refuse to have anyone with a problem with me on my records. Replacing ‘Memphis the Blues.’ No hard feelings! Confused as sh*t, Tulsans look out for Tulsans.” Moreland later responded in an Instagram video saying, “As far as I’m concerned, getting kicked off a Zach Bryan album is way fu**ing cooler than being on a Zach Bryan album.” (Variety)
